I’ve been crazy enough to work in IT for over 25 years. And in that time I’ve seen a lot of change. From old IBM 5250 green screen dumb terminals to mobile apps on the go. And from data centres the size of football pitches, to highly virtualised environments hosting hundreds of servers within a single rack, I’ve been lucky enough to be involved. I’ve seen the evolution and the business value of change.
This blog is my opportunity to share some of my experiences of the past, and present. Here I’ll give my own thoughts and views on how Digital Life is shaping up and defining our culture as well as my own advice on current technologies as we transition to ubiquitous computing with everything as a service.
Update: Now I’m embarrassing my passion for data and how data can be used to fuel predictive and generative AI in business, I’ll switch my bias from infrastructure to Data Science and AI/ML.
